English Tourism Council 4 Stars From their cottage door our guests can take a 40-minute green lane walk to historic Slapton village, with its two excellent pubs, and Slapton Ley Nature Reserve for birdwatching or a nature safari; and just 3 miles from here the South West Coast Path takes in the stunning coastal scenery of Start Bay from Dartmouth to Start Point. Closer to home guests can enjoy a stroll around our nature walk, or a little bird and wildlife-watching from their private gardens. We welcome well-behaved dogs and there are many dog-friendly beaches and pubs in this area. We provide our guests with a temporary membership to Dartmouth Golf & Country Club (five miles) where there are 18 and 9-hole courses, a pool, sauna and gym, and can arrange tee-times on the many coastal and moorland golf courses nearby.
