Inglenook Cottage, Croyde North Devon |
Warm, welcoming home, recently refurbished to an unusually high standard, situated close to village centre and within walking distance of the popular surfing beach of Croyde. Sleeps 4/6. |
| Encompassing Exmoor National Park and the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve at Braunton Burrows, rugged cliff top walks around Baggy Point and miles of majestic sweeping sandy beaches, the North Devon region is famous for its outstanding natural beauty. The beaches of Croyde, Saunton, Putsborough and Woolacombe have world class surf, with dunes, caves and rock pools for the young and less energetic. Saunton boasts an 18 hole championship golf course, while Watermouth Castle, the Big Sheep and Milky Way theme parks will keep the kids amused. Croyde also has an indoor funpool with slides near the beach. The Tarka Trail forms part of the South West Coast path and is great for cycling and runs along the river with pubs along the way. Horse riding is popular in Croyde, whilst sea fishing is the mainstay at Ilfracombe. There are some excellent places to eat nearby, from Thai to fish and chips (not to mention cream teas and the unmissable local ice cream shop). The two-bedroom cottage is recently refurbished to an unusually high standard, and is exceptionally well-equipped with facilities including Playstation, a range of children's and family videos, a well stocked library, a selection of board games and a full range of kitchen equipment. Situated close to the centre of the village and within walking distance of the popular surfing beach, it makes an ideal base to explore the beautiful countryside and walks, some of which start from just outside the house. |
